Community Action for Progress (C.A.P) is a non-profit community organization founded with a simple yet essential ambition: to give hope to the hopeless.

History

Community Action for Progress (C.A.P) was born from a deeply human dream: to restore hope to the hopeless and dignity to the most vulnerable. Initiated by leader Gérard Kabage Timothée, who brought together a group of committed young people, C.A.P embodies a vision…

Our mission

Our mission is to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of children in difficult situations, as well as families in crisis and vulnerability, helping them find comfort and adequate well-being

Our vision

C.A.P’s vision is to assist Burundian children in difficulty, youth, and young mothers in solidarity, enabling them to live in peace within a protective environment, fully enjoy their rights, and lead a healthy, balanced, and dignified life. To create supportive communities around the world where everyone can live safely, in a protective environment, fully enjoy their rights, and lead a healthy, balanced, and dignified life.

Our goal

The overall goal of C.A.P is to ensure the strengthening of the socio-economic capacities of the most disadvantaged young mothers in order to promote their economic empowerment. Another objective is to help them find solutions to their difficulties so that they can regain an adequate level of social functioning.

Our values

Our regional branches and actions are based on strong ethical principles: Humanity: Placing human dignity at the heart of our interventions. Inclusion: No one should be left behind. Responsibility: Managing our projects with integrity and rigor. Solidarity: Working hand in hand with communities. Empowerment: Providing the means to act, not just to receive.

Our regional branches

To ensure an effective presence adapted to local realities, C.A.P has four regional branches, each with its own local coordination:
